Presenting its broad range of offerings across multiple sectors, data management specialist TecAlliance, is able to report that this year’s Automechanika Birmingham was a success.

“Inevitably, there is always a little trepidation on the eve of a show, particularly as an event such as Automechanika Birmingham is a big commitment in terms of time and resource,” explained Shaun Greasley, TecAlliance’s general manager UK and Ireland, regional sales director for Central and Eastern Europe.

“However, I’m delighted to say that it exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased with the results.

“From a TecAlliance perspective, we had a lot of new and updated products that we were able to demonstrate and this meant that we had something for customers from all of our business sectors, which, in contrast to many of the other exhibitors, includes parts manufactures/distributors, wholesalers and installers.

“For the wholesaler community, our recent TecDoc Catalogue 3.0 update was very well received, as attendees could appreciate the improvements that have been incorporated to make it an even more integrated parts identification solution.

“The catalogue is built upon the ‘TecDoc Standard’ – the foundation on which the entire system stands and, this year, celebrating its 25th anniversary.

“It is through this standard that TecAlliance’s official data suppliers, who, starting from just nine in 1994, now represent more than 700 global parts brands, are able to access tools such as our Vehicles in Operation (VIO) and Demand Dashboard modules, to ensure they have the correct and most relevant products in their portfolio.

“The show also allowed us to demonstrate that TecAlliance also provides solutions for the workshop, with products such as RMI data, which is a vital resource and gives access to service times, OE pricing and maintenance and repair procedures, for example.

“In addition, we could address the needs of fleet managers who need to accurately forecast ongoing maintenance costs, and via Order Manager, our order-to-invoice eCommerce platform, show how businesses can save both time and money, through paperless transactions and stock control.

“In short, the event was an excellent opportunity to showcase the integrated solutions and consulting services that allow TecAlliance to effectively support businesses throughout the automotive aftermarket.”
