TecAlliance to exhibit innovations for “optimised workshop processes”

TecAlliance, one of the world’s leading providers of services and solutions in automotive data management, is to exhibit at Automechanika Frankfurt in September to introduce new items and highlights from its portfolio to the automotive aftermarket.

One of TecAlliance’s most important innovations is the new version of the TecDoc Catalogue, one of the world’s most comprehensive and leading spare parts catalogues.

Repair and maintenance information (RMI) has been even better integrated into the new version of the catalogue; this has been linked to the spare parts data, so that the workshop will have direct access to all the required information.

The scope, quality and up-to-date status of the data and information in the TecDoc Catalogue make it possible for independent workshops to offer vehicle maintenance in line with the manufacturer’s specifications, maintaining the manufacturer’s warranty.

All in all, the TecDoc Catalogue now enables workshops to calculate the costs to their customers in a more precise manner. It also makes it possible for workshops to make all organisational preparations and place all necessary orders even before the vehicle arrives at the workshop.

In order to help traders to set up their own web shops in a speedy and uncomplicated manner, TecAlliance has used the TecDoc Catalogue to create a customised solution featuring web shop functionality and including the fully-integrated OE and RMI data.

As an alternative, a trader can integrate the TecDoc Catalogue’s range of data into his own shop or catalogue system as a web service.

A central web portal now provides access to all the TecAlliance process modules for the supply chain.

These include: the order fulfilment process (Order), electronic invoicing (e-Invoicing), warranty and return processing procedures (Returns), as well as access to article text information (Collaborative Managed Data).

The most important benefits of the integrated solution are the cost savings and a simplification of processes due to automation and digitisation.

This offering for professional management of the entire order-to-invoice process is targeted equally at manufacturers, traders and workshops.

The Order Manager can be used as a web application and a mobile app; it can also be integrated into ERP systems.

With the CCU, TecAlliance is presenting a powerful PIM tool to manage spare parts data.

Industry data managers can use the CCU to easily and conveniently enter article information, maintain it and link it to the appropriate vehicle data.

This makes it possible to improve the quality, scope and precision of spare parts product information in a simple, targeted manner.

This is then provided to the global market in the TecDoc Catalogue.

In addition to the option of capturing the article information in the international TecDoc standard, it is now possible to map it to other formats.

These include MAM for the British market and ACES and PIES for the USA and Mexico.

Thanks to the integration of the world’s largest database of vehicles in operation (VIO) and the OE data, all relevant data for product management has now been directly integrated into the solution.

In addition to this, TecAlliance is also presenting the prototype of the Analytics Manager: This is a business intelligence solution for targeted analysis to optimise one’s own product portfolio through better understanding of customer and market requirements.
