A mechanic in Northern Ireland has been fined and given four penalty points for speeding in a customer’s Volkswagen.
Adam Morrow from Dungannon was travelling at 89mph in a 70mph zone when he passed a police speed check.
The defence lawyer explained that the mechanic was test driving the car and was in a rush to get back to the garage where the customer was waiting.
He was fined £185 with a £15 offender levy for speeding, along with a £75 fine for failing to produce his driving licence.
