Corteco say that with the increase in start-stop systems there are question marks about the quality of some of the replacement pulleys available from stock from some sources.

Sales and marketing manager for Corteco, Steve Jarnet, said: “The Corteco ‘Start-Stop Ready’ sticker means that garages get what they pay for.
“The pulleys inside are guaranteed to perform as well as the OE product they have been built to replace.
“Industry projections indicate that by 2022, start-stop systems will be a standard fit on more than 82% of the vehicles sold in Western Europe as vehicle manufacturers respond to regulations designed to cut emissions.”
