UK Garage & Bodyshop Event’s ‘SHOW MAKER’ initiative celebrates student success

The UK Garage & Bodyshop Event has received praise for its impactful ‘SHOW MAKER’ initiative, part of the School of Thought’s Ambassador Programme. This program allowed 15 eager students to immerse themselves in the automotive industry, taking on diverse tasks and roles during the event.

Clad in distinctive ‘SHOW MAKER’ T-shirts, the students engaged with exhibitors, assisted visitors, and contributed to various operational aspects of the event. Their participation earned them certificates, enhancing their CVs and showcasing their involvement in the show’s success.

Alex Jones, Marketing Director at Messe Frankfurt (organisers of the event), expressed gratitude to Sandwell College for providing this opportunity. The initiative not only fosters student growth but also emphasises the importance of nurturing fresh talent within the industry.

Among the ‘SHOW MAKERs’ were Barry Alhassane, Akeel Ali, Ryan Bradshaw, Ebrima Ceesay, Connor Day, Marwan Hussein, Kelechil Ifendu, Rishab Langi, Prince-Armani Mbuyamb, Stephen Odiase, Sahil Pal, Callum Riley, Juan-Carlos Srango, and Jasvir Singh.

Dave Reece, founder of School of Thought, highlighted the significance of such programs in bridging the skills gap and investing in the automotive sector’s future. School of Thought encourages all automotive companies to offer work experience opportunities. For details, contact Dave Reece by clicking here.
