Garages warned about start-stop compatibility

Many systems are now out of warranty and generate higher levels of vibrations, say Corteco

Garages warned about start-stop compatibility
Stop me if you can: Corteco's technology, designed to control extreme vibrations of start-stop systems.

Start-stop systems are an integral part of the drive to reduce vehicle emissions, by reducing fuel consumption.

They are designed to withstand wear caused by being subject to up to ten times more starts than traditional systems.

Corteco sales and marketing manager, Steve Jarnet said: “Garages should be aware that not all pulleys are compatible with start-stop systems.”

He points out that Corteco has developed a Start-Stop Ready range that includes 50 start-stop pulleys and 11 pulley kits (pulleys plus bolts).

“The Start-Stop Ready branding is instantly recognisable and provides installers with peace of mind as well as a guarantee that it’s an OE quality part that fits first time and does the same job as the OE part it was designed to replace,” Jarnet adds.
